Philadelphia held off Colorado three to two as Matvei Michkov scored twice and Trevor Zegras set up three goals. The Flyers led three to one in the third before Colorado pulled within one, but Philadelphia closed it out. Michkov's two-goal night gave the Flyers the difference in a tight finish at home.
Toronto beat San Jose three to one after Gavin McKenna scored the game-winning goal. The Maple Leafs say McKenna became the fifth Toronto player age eighteen or younger to score a game winner. Auston Matthews added his seventh goal of the season, a power-play score late in the second period.
